Abstract

The goal of the Commercialization Center for the RADx Innovation Funnel for Health Technologies is to increase the speed of development, commercialization, and implementation of new technologies to address urgent health needs . The Commercialization Center is being tasked to provide technical, clinical, and commercialization expertise and resources to this RADx effort seeking to accelerate the deployment of up to ten NIH health technology development initiatives. The Commercialization Center is a trans-NIH focused activity that requires professional services support across a wide range of biomedical commercialization domains to NIH translational activities. These may include diagnostics for infectious and chronic diseases, such as hepatitis B and Alzheimer’s disease, sensors to monitor conditions such as maternal and fetal health, neural stimulation technologies to treat nervous system disorders, or other health-related technologies to address emergent needs identified by NIBIB. The target technologies will primarily be intended for use at the point of care or at home.
